Highlights from NHC's 2009 Budget Forum

On June 4, NHC hosted its Annual Budget Forum at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. At this year's Forum, panelists detailed affordable housing programs in President Obama's Fiscal Year 2010 Budget, and also discussed programs and proposals to create and preserve affordable rental housing.

The featured speaker for the event was Xavier Briggs, associate director for general government programs, Office of Management and Budget. Panelists included Gail Laster, deputy chief counsel, Committee on Financial Services, U.S. House of Representatives; Sheila Crowley, president, National Low-Income Housing Coalition; and Doug Bibby, president, National Multi Housing Council.
